Here at LCM Systems we see ourselves as innovators in load cell technology. We are lucky to have many talented in-house design engineers use their expertise to design and manufacture products that can solve even the most bizarre application requests!

Only last week I was talking to our PR agency about the promotion of our products and we were discussing our vast range of load cells and pressure transducers. In the course of the conversation I mentioned our ICA range of in-cell analogue strain gauge amplifiers. It got me thinking. We’ve had this range of products for over 10 years but although we have had many requests to incorporate them into our pressure and torque transducers, there hasn’t been the same take up with the load cells and load measuring pins.
Selling pressure transducers with these wonderful little devices incorporated is commonplace for us. Okay, it is unusual to find load cell manufacturers, apart from LCM Systems, who can offer this pre-calibrated load cell option but I wonder why design engineers seem reluctant to incorporate them into their instrumentation designs?
Of course, it’s not the technology is it? Here at LCM Systems we have been able to make these mini-amplifiers an integral part of our load cell range for almost 10 years. So is it the application engineers who are reluctant to embrace this new technology? Well again, it shouldn’t be as they already accept the pre-calibrated pressure transducers.
So, maybe its our fault as load cell manufacturers for not heralding that this technology is available in load cells? Hmm, that has really got me thinking. I better get marketing
