Apprenticeships. Good or bad idea?
Well, on paper, of course they seem like a great idea. Introducing a motivated, dynamic youngster to the world of work, where they will be paid, trained and you will end up having a employee with all the right skills – well, you trained them, right? And with the difficulty I have had trying to fill our engineering places, I think I might give it a try.
I would love to know if any companies out there who are reading this have had an apprentice and how it worked out. Let me know, please.
